Having your website’s SSL certificate is becoming more important these days. Google and other search engines are beginning to place a higher emphasis on sites which have the right SSL certificate set up. This shows as reading https at the start of their URL.
If your site is not https, but instead http, it could mean that your site is pushed further down the rankings. This could be bad news for websites if their SSL is not set up properly, as they could end up losing out on visitors and customers.
Setting up the SSL is easily done by an experienced web developer who can access the back end of the website. It is not for any one to do, but someone who knows what they are doing. It is certainly worth doing as in future more and more sites will be penalised for not being fully secure. You do not want to lose out on customers!
