Businesses generally do not use enough social media. It is an interesting concept that more and more people are registered on social media networks, like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, yet businesses are often a little afraid to explore these as fantastic marketing tools.
The first thing you need to do is set up a business page, which allows members of the public to find and follow you. Then you need to make it clear what your brand is, what you stand for and the products or services you sell. One mistake many businesses make on their social media is focussing too greatly on sales and selling, whilst leaving out the kinds of posts which encourage customer engagement. Clients do not normally want to be bombarded with sales spiel, yet social media posts by businesses are often purely sales focussed! This can put customers off and make them less likely to buy from you.
